In July 2021, HSDO was happy to deliver a newly completed extension of the Dalaba Hospital Maternity. This new building has significantly improved the quality of care for expectant and new mothers and their babies.
In November 2020, HSDO partnered with the Guinean Diabetes Foundation and the country’s Ministry of Health and funded a campaign of community information and testing for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases in an underserved city.
At the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, our group wanted to do something to help and we decided to focus our efforts on supporting health care workers in particular because they are at the front lines of the fight.
